The Twin Coast Cycle Trail is a beautiful and scenic cycle trail joining the Bay of Islands on the East Coast and the Hokianga on the West Coast through Northland’s rural heart, steeped in early New Zealand History, both Maori and European.

All year round in Northland brings warm days and blue skies. It might be a bit colder in winter but it’s still ideal for a bit of cycling and shaking off the blues. Clear bright days and moderate to warm temperatures make for an enjoyable bike tour.

There are many ways Top Trail can help you enjoy the magnificent Rail Trail. We offer bike hire, transfers to the start of the trail, guided tours and packages. Let us share our great local knowledge with you on an escorted tour or with a package including accommodation and a walking tour of the Puketi Forest.

We can organise cycling tours, transfers, customised itineraries, shuttle buses and activities for up to 30 cyclists with our fleet of quality bicycles and mini buses.
Tours range from two hours and only 7kms of cycling to two days and 80kms of cycling with easy to medium gradients.
